In 2013, the U.S. population aged 65 and over was about 45 million. In just 15 years, the U.S. Administration on Aging expects that number to increase to over 70 million! As the population of seniors grows, so has the senior living industry. New facilities are continuously being built to keep up with the demand of assisted living and senior communities. Flair’s annunciators are built to ensure the safety and security of these residents.
We’ve recently been involved with a few facilities that specialize in housing those with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory conditions. Monitoring residents is especially important in these types of facilities and our annunciators provide staff members an easy and cost effective solution.
Windsor Heights
This eighty zone annunciator was recently built for Windsor Heights Alzheimer’s Special Care Center which is set to open this fall. Motion sensors and panic alarms will be installed in each room, with the option of turning the motion sensors off if needed. Staff members are able to monitor each room and provide assistance if there’s any unusual activity.
Riverside Inn
This much larger annunciator was built for Riverside Inn Memory Care Community. This piece has 176 zones and window alarms in addition to motion sensors and emergency call buttons. The simple display means that staff members can immediately locate the cause of an alarm instead of having to scroll through a computer or other small monitor.
Senior living facilities play an important role in providing its residents with constant care in a safe environment. Our products provide staff members with a simple but effective system that is easy to use.
